Debatable Lands 30th Birthday
The Barony - Marche of the Debatable Lands, after decades of living in
ignorance, finally knows the date of its founding, celebrate, is
having a 30th birthday party on April 3, 2004 (not the exact date, but
the closest Saturday anyway), so come and celebreate it with us.
The site is the Mt. Lebanon Christian Church, Cedar Boulevard at
Hollycrest, Mt. Lebanon, PA 15228.
The site is bone dry, no alcohol allowed. Smoking in designated
outdoor areas only, please.
The site opens to the populace at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m.
Merchants are quite welcome; contact the autocrat if you are planning
on attending and merchanting.
There will be a rattan tourney, a fencing tourney, a variety of
activities relevant to the theme of the event (the ancient history of
the barony), and dancing after the courts of His Majesty Henri and
Their Excellencies Alonzio and Tatyana.
Lunch is being prepared by Master Alastair Scott MacCrummin, and the
feast by Countess Aidan ni Leir.

), who will also be handling the reservations.
On-board will be limited to 150 gentles.
The cost for the event is $12 for on-board, $6 for off-board, $4 for
out-board; children ages 6 - 12 are half price, and children under 6
are free. The Non-Member surcharge is applicable for this event for
non-members over the age of 18. It will be collected at Troll unless
already paid with an advance reservation. Make checks payable to "SCA
Inc. - BMDL".
Directions:
- From the North:
Take I-79 South to I-279 South (exit 72) into Pittsburgh.
** Follow I-279 south, across the Ft. Pitt Bridge and through the Fort
Pitt Tunnels.
Very shortly after going through the tunnels will be a right-hand
ramp for Banksville Road / US-19 South (exit 5A).
Follow Banksville to the 5th light and bear right onto Beverly Road
(still Rt. 19).
Beverley will intersects with PA-121; follow signs for US-19, and
turn left onto Cochran Road.
***At the third light (bottom of the hill), turn right onto Cedar
Blvd.
Mt. Lebanon Christian Church is one long block up on the left. Parking
is on the street.
- From the East:
Take I-76 West to I-376 West (exit 57 - Pittsburgh).
Get onto I-376 west towards Pittsburgh. Stay on I-376 until it
'ends', and follow the signs for I-279 South, then follow from ** above.
- From the South:
Take I-79 North to I-279 (exit 59A) North towards Pittsburgh.
At the crest of the steep hill, take the Greentree Road / PA-121 exit
(exit 4A) and turn right at the top of the ramp onto PA-121 South.
Follow Greentree Road / PA-121 2.5 miles until it ends and turn left
onto Cochran Road.
After a few blocks, PA-121 ends when it intersects with US-19;
continue straight on Cochran Road, and follow from *** above.
