This was an FEBT Rockhill Restoration work weekend and the railroad's opening weekend for the 2006 season.

Pit Stairs [2006jun3,stairs] small - large
Two of the proud builders of a new set of stairs for the inspection pit.

Glass Crew [2006jun3,glass] small - large
The glass crew hard at work, salvaging glass from donated windows.

Paintshop Windows [2006jun3,windows] small - large
Painting sashes so they can be reinstalled in the paintshop.

Trackwork [2006jun3,track0] small - large
A few ties on track 0 are replaced and tamped so that equipment on the track won't lean over into the coal bin-foundry bridge.

Trackwork [2006jun3,inserter] small - large
This was the big news! This tie inserter was purchased used over the winter, and made its debut fresh out of the shop and ready for service. Following the lead of the folks at the Bucksgahuda & Western, a third leg was added to this standard gauge machine to make it dual gauge (B&W's is actually triple gauge!) This inserter greatly speeds up the process of tie replacement while reducing the effort needed.

Trackwork [2006jun3,shoptrack] small - large
The results achieved with a spirited crew and the help of the inserter can be seen on the south shop track, second from left.
