This was a special FEBT Rockhill Restoration work weekend to continue the rehabilitation of caboose no. 28 in the off-season. No other work was performed.

1200x815 (108k)
Removing rivets so that their locations can be reused to attach the
new platform steel.
Caboose no. 28 [2004feb21,cab3]

Caboose no. 28 [2004feb21,cab4]
600x408 (45k) -

Removing rivets prior to removing the old platform steel. The large hole
at lower right is evidence of why these repairs were needed. The opposite
end was in worse condition.
Caboose no. 28 [2004feb21,cab5]
327x480 (35k) -
614x900 (79k)
Despite the repaired car shop windows, there still was not enough light
to work comfortably, so temporary lights were installed to aid the work
on the platforms.

600x412 (46k) -
1200x824 (117k)
Setting the new platform steel in place so that it can be marked for
cutting.

Cutting the steps out of the new steel for the platforms.
