After the first day, the trim has been replaced and the roof reboaded on the small south shed.

Inside, two wooden rails span 36 inches and at least 50 years (I know, it's sappy).

It gets tight on clearance at this north end ofthe carshop, so when the train comes through, everyone pays attention.

The window structure is examined so that a replacement for a missing sash can be installed.

A new pane of glass is installed to complete a sash that still has most of its original glass.

Car shop [2002jul13,window7] 600x413 (33k) - 1200x825 (96k)
Ten windows underway. This time, new, nearly-invisible hardware cloth is applied over the windows, replacing the old boards and heavy screens.

Orbisonia station [2002jul13,orby1] 600x413 (43k) - 1200x825 (127k)
The sun was low, and the Orbisonia station had been recently repainted.

Orbisonia station [2002jul13,orby2] 600x413 (39k) - 1200x826 (116k)
Also the Orbisonia station.

Iron furnace [2002jul13,furnace] 600x411 (57k) - 1200x822 (168k)
This is an old iron furnace in the town of Metal, PA, near the EBT but on the east side of Tuscarora Mountain. It is visible from the road (which is where I took this picture).
