This car was being built from scratch on a D&RGW flatcar frame to match
the look of the early EBT coaches (predating #8). It was hoped that it
would take some of the day to day stress off the historic cars and afford
major repairs to them. The project was put on hold because of insufficient
funds.

This equipment in the Blacksmith shop is still used to work boiler flue tubes.
The gas-fired kiln on the left is used to heat the ends of the tubes,
which are then worked by the belling tool and press on the right. A flue
tube can be seen in place on the belling tool. The HABS/HAER drawings
of the Blacksmith shop have an excellent illustration of how these tools
are used to put new ends onto the flue tubes.

hoppers were lifted up and over the two tracks of hoppers to the left
onto a 'low-boy' highway semi-trailer. This site is between the enginehouse
