This room at the north end, first floor of the Orbisonia station was originally
a baggage room, then later a lunch room. The marks from the lunch counter are
visible on the floor. For the 40th anniversary it was decorated with
photographs and signs from the railroad's own collection, which included
some rarely seen items such as #12 dressed up in flashy garb for a movie
production. Many thanks to the EBT employees for setting this up so we
could get a unique glimpse into the railroad's history.

This is acid mine drainage, water that is emerging from a coal mine,
just above the town of Coalmont, on the west side of Broad Top Mountain.
This is the reason that the mine area at Joller was reclaimed.
Road T373 [2000aug12,t373]
331x480 (43k) -
620x900 (122k)
This is the road from Fairview over Sideling Hill to Coles. Be sure to bring
plenty of ground clearance and some good shocks. Also, there is little room
to pass except at the summit. It is not a quick drive, so don't try to
squeeze it in before that last train!
