These photos are not presented in any particular order.
Person and vehicle identifications are always in the order from left to
right. All photos taken with a Canon Eos RebelXS camera with either a
Tamron 28-80mm lens. Film is Kodak Gold 100 print film.

Cross Country Trip, June 10, 1998
In 1998, I drove around the country to see at least a little of what is
out there. I had hoped to go from narrow gauge (EBT) to narrow gauge (C&TS),
but I was a week too early for the EBT's opening weekend. However, on the
return trip (without any planning), I was driving through West Virginia on
US 50 for some new scenery and happened to see a bunch of interesting
machinery just west of the village of Macomber. I doubled back, parked,
noted that it was a park of sorts, dropped a donation in the box, and headed
in on foot with my camera. Wading past the various farm animals looking for
handouts, I noticed the rail, then the suspiciously familiar hopper.
I realized I had gone NG to NG afterall. All told there is one boxcar, one
hopper, two flats, and 2 (or maybe 4) trucks of EBT origin. Other rail
equipment are two standard gauge cabooses, a tiny NG diesel switcher, and
two tiny NG steamers.

This steamer resembles Rockhill Furnace #2 "Dinkie" (later EBT
third #2).

At left is a wooden B&O caboose sitting on narrow gauge trucks (I did not
check these trucks for EBT origin), while on the right is the familiar EBT
3-bay steel hopper.
