What is DEMENTIA

Actually, it was just a name someone suggested when I was setting up a test Kerberos realm as a sophomore at CMU. At the time I had set up DEMENTIA.CMU.EDU, but the school wasn't willing to give subdomains, especially at that level, so DEMENTIA.CMU.EDU became DEMENTIA.ORG, something best described as a loosely affiliated group of students (and former students, now) pooling and sharing resources. That said, here's the acronym:
